EIT Digital provides Czech startups with a soft landing to European countries

11.11. 2016

Czech startups get the chance to meet representatives of EIT Digital and discuss potential cooperation such as accessing international markets or fundraising. These opportunities are offered at events organised by JIC in Brno as well as in Vienna. JIC is the only Czech organization that enables local companies to access EIT Digital.

The EIT Digital Accelerator’s mission is to scale up European digital technology ventures. It breaks geographical boundaries and provides scaleups with pathways to quickly and effectively access
a pan-European trusted business network. We multiply matching and brokering opportunities with international customers and investors.

Those who are interested in EIT Digital can learn more through their Open Hours. Individual dates for virtual interviews are often quickly booked due to large demand. Therefore, JIC has planned events where the companies will get a chance to meet face-to-face Thomas Kösters, representative of EIT Digital ARISE Europe Programme.

The first one of these events will be held on November 22nd, 2016. It will be JIC 120” on topic of IoT, Security and Big Data. The main focus will be put on cross-border cooperation of research organizations and companies. The companies can register until November 20th on this link. The second event, JIC 120” in Brno, will be held on December 13th, 2016. Its aim is to connect the companies within the business ecosystem around JIC. Another option how to get in touch with EIT Digital during December is through the virtual open hours. Those who are interested can contact filipensky@jic.cz in order to arrange the call.

EIT Digital invests in strategic areas to accelerate the market uptake of research-based digital technologies focusing on Europe’s strategic, societal challenges: Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing and Digital Infrastructure.  ARISE Europe, part of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), is a program of EIT Digital designed to stimulate regional growth in EU countries where EIT Digital is not present with one of its Node or Associate Partners. Its objective is to connect local and regional Innovation Centres to EIT Digital's innovation and education ecosystem. JIC established cooperation with EIT Digital ARISE Europe Programme so far as the only Czech organization. Thus, JIC provides its clients with an access to the leading national companies, top research centres and the best universities, investors, European experts and international networking events.
