3 stages of JICbooster

Stage I

Who it is for: You have an idea or technology and need to find out whether it could become a business.

What you get: 4 hours of individual mentoring, 6 workshops

What you take away: You will validate your idea, test the use case and get feedback from customers.

PRICE: CZK 9,975*

The actual price of the programme is CZK 47,500 excluding VAT. Thanks to de minimis support, you do not pay this amount – you only pay VAT of CZK 9,975.

Stage II

Who it is for: You have a validated use case and are working out how to build the product, sell it and gain your first customers.

What you get: 12 hours of individual mentoring, 4 group workshops

What you take away: You have set up an s.r.o., built an MVP and gained your first paying customers or a solid Letter of Intent.

PRICE: CZK 18,290**

** The programme is worth CZK 87,097 excluding VAT. You do not pay this amount – thanks to de minimis support, you only pay VAT of CZK 18,290.

Stage III

Who it is for: You have a company, an MVP and your first customers, and you are working out how to grow and finance the next stage of development.

What you get: Up to 24 hours of individual mentoring

What you take away: You are scaling your company, building a stable team and securing funding – through investment, grants or sales.

PRICE: CZK 29,520***

*** The programme is worth up to CZK 72,000 excluding VAT. You have up to 24 hours of consulting available, worth CZK 3,000 excluding VAT per hour. You only pay for the hours you actually use – thanks to de minimis support, up to a maximum of CZK 29,520 if you use the full allocation.

JICbooster brought us a lot of positive things. What we valued most was access to mentors we could choose someone who was agreat fit for out needs. Who is JICbooster for?

JICbooster is a programme for (future) founders of early-stage start-ups who already have a validated solution, first product or first customers. It is for people who need to tackle specific challenges and want to grow faster and smarter.

How much time will JICbooster take?

Stage I: 4 × 60 minutes of individual mentoring, scheduled by agreement, + 6 half-day workshops
Stage II: 12 × 60 minutes of individual mentoring, scheduled by agreement, + 4 half-day workshops
Stage III: up to 24 × 60 minutes of individual mentoring, scheduled by agreement

You should also allow time for individual preparation between workshops and mentoring sessions.

Is the programme individual?

It depends on the stage. In every stage, you will have your own mentor, work with them one-to-one and go deep into your business.

Stage I: 4 hours of individual mentoring
Stage II: 12 hours of individual mentoring
Stage III: up to 24 hours of individual mentoring

Will I also get access to an expert on a specific topic?

In Stage II and Stage III, yes. If you run into a specific challenge – for example pricing, IP or legal issues – that we cannot solve internally, we will connect you with an expert from our network. In Stage II, the programme includes 10 hours with these specialists.

Do I have to be based in South Moravian Region?

No. The programme is open to all start-ups with an innovative product, a scalable business model and global ambition.

Is JICbooster right for me if I already have my first customers?

Definitely. The programme has three stages, tailored to how far your start-up has already progressed.

How do I get into the programme?

It all starts with an introductory 30-minute session with one of our consultants. If your project meets the criteria – innovation and scalability – we will invite you to Selection Day, where you will pitch your idea to a jury. You will hear the result within a week.

How much does JICbooster cost and what does de minimis support mean?

JICbooster is partly funded from public resources under the de minimis scheme. Put simply, part of the programme price is not paid by you, but is counted as small-scale public support towards the limit monitored for companies over the last three years.

Stage I: the actual price of the programme is CZK 47,500 excluding VAT. Thanks to de minimis support, you only pay VAT of CZK 9,975.

Stage II: the programme is worth CZK 87,097 excluding VAT. Thanks to de minimis support, you only pay VAT of CZK 18,290.

Stage III: the programme is worth up to CZK 72,000 excluding VAT. You have up to 24 hours of consulting available, worth CZK 3,000 excluding VAT per hour. You only pay for the hours you actually use – up to a maximum of CZK 29,520 if you use the full allocation.

Is there a lot of paperwork?

Do not worry about complicated paperwork. We will guide you through the whole de minimis support process so it does not distract you from your business. You sign the contract – and the work can begin.
