Marek Polčák graduated in 2011 from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University with a major in biomedical engineering. At the same time he obtained a degree in industrial management at the Masaryk Institute of Higher Studies.

While still studying in 2010, he co-founded Quanti, a software and hardware development company that has become one of the most innovative e-commerce and VoIP companies in the Czech Republic.  

In 2013, he became interested in virtual reality thanks to the FlyPrague project, which offered tourists a unique virtual flight over the historical centre of Prague. The FlyPrague team gradually tested all available VR glasses on the market and based on feedback from more than 35 thousand users, decided to develop their own device.  

After handing over the leadership of Quanti to a new CEO, Marek co-founded Vrgineers in 2017 with Etnetera, a company that develops and manufactures high-end VR and MR solutions for professionals. Their latest products - XTAL headset, Somnium VR1 headset and VR simulators - are globally recognized for their high quality and stability.
