Jan Staněk has led Purple Ventures since 2019. Purple Ventures invests between EUR 250,000 and EUR 400,000 in founders of early-stage technology startups that use post-AGI business models in both the online and offline worlds. Purple Ventures 2 is a EUR 40 million fund based in Luxembourg, aiming to invest in more than 50 startups between 2024 and 2028.

Jan co-founded two startups, one of which achieved a successful exit. He led finance at an e-commerce holding company that grew through acquisitions, managed the Chinese and Japanese branches of a global company focused on language technologies, helped launch a credit card business in the consumer lending sector, and began his career in management consulting at one of the Big Four firms.
