Jan Čurn is one of the founders and the current CEO of Apify, a platform for web data collection, AI data, and browser automation. He founded the company in 2015 together with Jakub Balada. However, he began his entrepreneurial career back in 2009, when he co-founded VirtualRig™ Studio, a software company, together with Jan Rambousek, where he still serves as CTO.

He has deep expertise in software development, data, management, product development, AI, and the open web. He graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University, earned a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Trinity College Dublin, and later also received a Doctor of Natural Sciences degree in Computer Science from Charles University.

He considers Apify his greatest achievement, along with the fact that his work helps make life easier for people and companies around the world.
