The international project Centrope tt (Centris) initiates international cooperation in the area of support of innovation activities between companies and R&D institutions in the CENTROPE region.
Implementation of the project began on 1st January 2009 and its course is planned until mid-2012. A total of 15 partners from Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic cooperate on the project. A total of €2 million is allocated for activities connected with implementation of the project (source of finance: Operational programme for transnational cooperation CENTRAL EUROPE)
The project deals with the following areas:
- mapping R&D institutions
- training professionals in the area of technology transfer
- promotion of cross-border cooperation of innovative SMEs with the academic sphere through the implementation of a financial instrument – international innovation vouchers
Main outputs of the project:
- Field survey of R&D institutions in the South Moravia region – Final report of the field survey on R&D institutions (2010)
- Database of R&D institutions with their projection on a digital map
- Report on R&D institutions in the CENTROPE region
- Innovation guide for SMEs in the CENTROPE region
- Establishing 50 collaborations between companies and the academic sphere so as to support international innovation vouchers (cheques) – pilot project
- Concept for an international scheme for innovation support (institutional arrangements, methodology and procedures, financing etc.)
- Recommendations for “policy-makers”
