&lt;p&gt;The specific aim of this forum is to present to selected investors (Business Angels, Venture Capitalists) specific investment opportunities based on anotechnologies. The forum is a European initiative aimed at facilitating the path to success for spin-offs or start-ups where development has been part funded by a public organisation (European, national, regional). This initiative is also supported by other European nanotechnology related networks and platforms. The presentations, of potential companies and of research institutions nominated into this completely unique project called „Open Innovation Session“, are just happening in the &lt;a href="/inbit-en"&gt;Innovation park INBIT&lt;/a&gt;. The whole event for the stakeholder is organized by South Moravia Innovation Centre, which in this way enables local research institutions or companies to excel abroad and become prestige supplier of technology not only in the Czech Republic.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;The powerful international investor Singapore Technologies Electronics picks his future partner for long term and perspective collaboration mainly in the areas: Intelligent transfer systems or Air traffic control. All of it is in terms of „Open Innovation Session“, which is the activity of &lt;a href="/technology-transfer"&gt;Technology Transfer&lt;/a&gt; in the South Moravian Innovation Centre. 12 potential partners dealing with required technologies will introduce themselves to the Singapore stakeholder.  Among the companies are for example supra-national company Honeywell with the office in Brno or technological start-ups as Phonexia, spin-off VUT, or OptimSys, were introduced as interesting companies by Jiří Hudeček director of JIC. Science representatives of CEITEC also presented their skills.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Foreign company will collaborate with the selected partner either in a form of joint project, of bigger international contract or buying license on developing products or technologies.  &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Singapore Technologies Electronics asked JIC for help to find the right partners for collaboration in South Moravia region.  In the innovative city of Brno they are looking specially for Unique and innovative technologies from the areas of intelligent transport systems, passenger info systems, air traffic control,  security, emergency systems, integrated communications systems and Smart metering technology. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Open innovation Session is not a new project of JIC. &lt;p&gt;28. 04. 2011, a first Europe-wide call for applications for innovation vouchers finished. South Moravian Innovation Centre collected requests from 210 firms intending to co-operate with research institutions from Brno, Czech Republic.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Most frequently, companies seek co-operation with Brno University of Technology (112 applications). Beside the Czech businesses, firms from Germany, Austria, Slovakia and the Netherlands also enrolled. Prevailing sectors of business are building industry (27 %) trade and services (26 %), mechanical engineering (23 %), information and communication technologies (14 %), and life-sciences (10 %). Almost one third of all applicants belong to more than one sector.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Innovation voucher recipients will be chosen by a public drawing on May 16&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;. The city of Brno will distribute almost 300.000 EUR in total.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;

&lt;p&gt;after two successful calls in 2009 and 2010, today the &lt;a href="http://www.jic.cz/"&gt;South Moravian Innovation Centre&lt;/a&gt; launches its third call for applications for innovation vouchers. For the first time, the innovation vouchers will be used to attract innovative companies from the entire European Economic Area.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Subsidies worth up to 6.000 EUR will cover 75 % of the overall costs of the  picked projects. The city of Brno will distribute almost 300.000 EUR in total. Companies are encouraged to innovate their products, services or processes together with one of the &lt;a href="http://www.inovacnivouchery.cz/en/knowledge-providers"&gt;knowledge providers&lt;/a&gt;. Their research focus  may include all knowledge areas.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
&lt;p&gt;Companies can submit their applications online at &lt;a href="http://www.innovationvouchers.cz/"&gt;www.innovationvouchers.cz&lt;/a&gt; until April 28&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;. The public drawing of voucher recipients will take place on May 16&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt;, in Brno, Czech Republic.&lt;/p&gt;&#13;
