Patent and License Fund

Patent and License Fund is the first fund of its kind in the Czech Republic, offering money to inventors for the protection of industrial property, in addition consultancy in invention marketing.

PLF clients may be granted a loan of up to CZK 400,000 for a period of five years with the related postponement of deposit repayment by two years.

This loan may be used to cover up to eighty percent of all costs incurred with respect to industrial property protection in relation to registration of a patent or utility model. Furthermore, throughout the period of validity of the support the applicant is assigned a consultant. They can discuss the issues of commercial use of the invention on the respective market at regular meetings and the consultant can also be helpful in establishing proper contacts or in formulating innovative and business strategies.
